Great freaking stuff Oxob! Loving every bit of it! :D
This is actually really damn good. Keep up excatly what your doing now. Can't wait for the next part!
Very high quality production value going on here, there’s not much I can say that’s wrong with this animation apart from something’s that didn't make sense but it didn't felt like it ruin the movie at all.
This defiantly had that cinema atmosphere thing going on that Oscar got so well right with his Castle series and I can see you took a lot of inspiration from him but still had your own originality and art style which was great!
It also felt a tad bit like Dead Space which I totally loved, so I really can’t wait to see where you take this series!
I’d even go so far as to say some scenes even looked better than what Oscar got right in terms of graphic, no offence to him, but your quality was most of the time in par with his until I saw the sneak scene after the credits which was some of the best StickFigure graphic quality I think I might have ever witnessed!
So, superb kudos to that!
But I still feel like you can even do better than this.
I think if you can do the execution of some certain scenes a bit better or even more cinematic, then you can really nail this head on and which I really hope you’ll achieve in the next movie!
All in all, great freaking movie, congrats on the large amount of effort, amazing selection of music and fantastic voice actors!
I see great potential in this.
Good Luck!
This is the opitome of a review.
I'm printing this out and putting it on my wall.
:o thanks man
Yip, not much I can say but holy crap was that another wonderful animation from you man!
You pretty much executed everything prefectly like always, can't wait until your next animation!
Your stuff always cracks me up <3
Sick animation
I love people that actually put effort in there flash movies and take their time to make something awesome like this.
This is going into my favorites, very, very outstanding job <3
jezzzzz
I can't even put into words how well you did that...
Directing, art, animation, graphic effects, choice of music, everything in this was absolutely outstanding.
I was literally breath-taking by this
I actually really liked that
Both animators did a splendid job on the animation, there was endless parts that was magnificently animated, so smooth.
I can't really say which one I liked more but doesn't matter.
Art style was very nice, I can't seem to get tired of this cartoonist look :)
There was actually a couple of surprises in this as well, I really thought the bad guys was dead at certain points and they got back up again, showed how tough they were, I liked that.
I was a little confused on the story because I haven't checked up all the Pico stuff but I get the idea there isn't really a storyline anymore, but I wasn't going to let this ruin the thing for me, I didn't really mind, not everything has to have a outstanding story or one at all.
I liked a lot of stuff in this, added it to my favorites, good job on everyone in this <3
Well
I was surprised at your art work and animation, smooth and really beautiful but...
it got confusing around the end.
I notice in the description you say it's an entry to something so that makes partially make sense why the storyline was confusing.
If you maybe just made him explore around a lot and viewing the scenery that would have been really nice actually.
OR
It felt like around the end you wanted to bring a storyline into this but then you lost motivation and got bored or something, unless this has a deeper meaning that I'm missing....
I recommend not submitting something with a confused storyline, or an unfinished ending, even if it was for a collaboration entry or something in that line.
Nice job on everything else though <3
This was pretty scary actually, but an odd ending
This must be the creepiest flash movie I've seen so far on newgrounds.
You've done the atmosphere perfectly; it was to be honest, nail-biting scary.
It's not like other cheap horror flash movies, the random cheap 'monster jumping out from the corner' scares, the intense dark environments they use constantly, none of this is particular a bad idea, but they lacked good detail art, backgrounds and just overall common sense on how to make it just scary.
You on the other hand did it outstandingly and completely bewildered my expectations.
You used many, many great ways of making this just bizarre and creepy, a couple of them really surprised me and actually felt like a professional horror movie I would watch on TV, you have a great sense of cinematic quality.
Every scary bits actually freaked me out, the constant unknown door knocking was very, very good, probably the creepiest part so far in the movie, specially the part where they knock all over the place at night. The vehicle stolen scene somehow just made it so much more bizarre, really great idea there.
You've also picked a prefect area to play your movie; I never knew how scary a frozen isolated winter forest is till now, the landscape art was very detail as well.
Animation was very nice, very smooth and realistic, nothing wrong there.
Art style was also great, set the mood remarkably, even though your characters looked cartoonish, it didn't stop this from being sinister. But I would have liked if your characters had more realistic looks, specially the dog, it would have helped create the better feel of 'realism' if that's what you're aiming for, but it's not a letdown.
Consider the movie's total time, and the amount of stuff you've pulled off in just that time is astonishing, real movies sometimes takes 30 minutes to bring suspense, but somehow you did that in 3-5 minutes and still turned out great.
The only thing I didn't really like about this, is how it ended...
I had mix thoughts; I didn't know if the ending was a silly weird joke? The guys face expression and when you finally see those odd stuff coming out from the dark made it feel it was all a joke after all.
But it still somehow felt creepy and bizarre, it might have just been better if you just didn't show how the creatures looked like at all, but it was still a pretty disturbing ending... in a good way.
In overall this was very good, the ending was not bad, but you should have planned it more thoroughly, everything else was prefect though.
Sorry for the very long review by the way.
Omg Oustanding Work
The animation on the characters was very nice, the mouths were in complete sync with the voice, it was amazing.
The voice acting couldn't fit the characters any better, and the music at the right time gave an unbelievable atmosphere and made it feel extremely cinematic.
Storyline seems very intense and sad so far, but still undoubtedly very well thought up!
But what REALLY got me was the art and graphic.
It was just to breath taking to behold, the sun-set over the landscape gave a strong country-side feeling but also at the same time almost fantasy like.
The lighting and shading on the trees and grass was prefect, and very detailed.
If you've taken a photo of a real landscape and somehow turned it into the graphic of Flash, this is how it would look like.
The only down side I had with this video was it was kind of on the short side, but I don't blame you because man that must have been a lot of work.
I just simply loved this <3
